Job Description

Reporting to the Sales Director, we currently have a unique opportunity for a Head of Sales to lead our VIC & SA sales branches in the achievement of sales, budget, profit and market share targets. The role manages a team of approx. 11 people (direct & indirectly) including sales personnel and branch administration. The key focus for this position is to drive profitable business growth through the achievement of sound business practices and strong customer satisfaction and relationships. We are looking for a results driven, technically astute and seasoned sales leader to ensure the successful achievement of the company sales objectives and employee development to support a high-performance culture. The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills & experience: Minimum 5 years State level leadership experience in a technical sales role, managing direct and indirect sales reports. Minimum 10 years’ experience in pneumatics, mechanical or electrical engineered product desirable with a sound technical aptitude essential. Familiarity with the VIC & SA (or similar) industrial sales and applications market and industries. Proven sales achiever with strong track record of strategic selling skills and tactical channel sales development skills required to develop long term relationships with customers and suppliers, tap into new markets and to develop the business footprint. Proven track record in coaching and mentoring sales personnel to assist in achieving targets and reaching development and performance goals. Exceptional negotiating and influencing skills and ability to cultivate strong business relationships. Ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels. Proven change management capability, along with solid organisational and planning skills. Well-developed IT skills and demonstrated computer literacy essential in MS Office programs & CRM systems. Current working knowledge of EH&S legislation, procedures and best practice. Hold a valid Driver’s Licence.
