Do you believe that sport can truly change the world? Hello. We are No2ndPlace and we fundamentally believe sport has the power to change the world. Our mission is to help the world win with a collective of sport's leading thinkers, activists, creative minds and icons. A bit about us… We’re a small agency, but we are making a big impact and we are growing. Fast. Through impactful campaigns, transformational partnerships and purposeful advisory, we use the power of sport to create enduring social change. Over the past few years we have helped sport bodies, brands and not-for-profits use the platform of sport to stand for more. Our projects are as diverse as they are impactful including: Changing the way that Football fans understand Sustainability through the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 Working with Standard Chartered to ensure that girls “Play On” and remain playing sport beyond the age of 14 Supporting Women in the Pacific to benefit from safely accessing sport with UN Women and our Project Golkipa pilot Working with Mastercard to reshape the way they measure the impact of their partnerships to go beyond brand and business capital but also social impact Telling the incredible story of the rise and challenges of Women’s Rugby in Fiji and the role it is playing in resetting gender perception and cultural norms in the Pacific with Oceania Rugby A bit about this role… Our epic team is ready to take the next step in driving our work impact and as a result, we want to bring onboard a Head of Social Impact. The role is all about elevating and amplifying the impact of our work output. You will help us measure the social impact of our partnerships and sport at large, ensure that we set up our projects to deliver the greatest impact possible, talk (often and maybe loudly) about how sport drives social change, and help us map pathways for sport to be a continued catalyst for change. As part of your job (honestly, it’s going to evolve and flex) we want you to: Enabling Social Impact at Every Turn Ensure that we are looking at innovative solutions to how we deliver each and every project to ensure that we are setting it up for maximum impact. From how we work to who we work with, we want you to ensure that our projects deliver on the social impact objectives that sit at their heart. Driving Our World Leading Research Lead the set up, reporting and sharing of the world leading research into sport and social impact that we are proud to have developed. We have launched “The Starting Line”, we love it and we want you to help us continue to move this forward. Set Industry Reporting Standards A lot of people talk about the social impact opportunity in sport, very few measure it. We do and we want you to lead this part of our offering and allow us to ensure this is being done across the industry. You’ll help us refine our proprietary model that reports on the social impact of sport and apply this – internally and externally. Share our (and your…) point of view with the World Lead conversations around the social impact opportunities of sport with clients, government, the broader sports industry and our team. This would include standing front and centre in industry conversations around these topics and helping to continue to educate our team through your back pocket of resources, networks and fascinating materials. A bit about you… You are passionate about sport, not just on the field but about the role that sport plays in our communities and our lives and want to be part of a collective driving change. We are hoping to add someone to our collective that is: A deeply passionate, constantly curious, and active advocate for a range of social causes – whether that’s been built to date through work or personal experience. Someone who wants to contribute to the big and small moments that impact on our world and create meaningful social change in communities. A passionate, confident, experienced leader in Social Impact. Could be expertise in a specific social issue but ideally with a broad understanding of the intersectional nature of issues around Human, Natural and Social capital. Around 5-10 years into their career. Less concerned about what industry, but with a level of wisdom that comes from this experience. A clear and confident communicator that enjoys talking in small and large groups in equal measures. Wanting to push boundaries and think differently about where the sport industry is heading. A self-motivated individual in a predominantly remote work setting that really wants to be part of something bigger. How you will work as part of our Collective? Support (and ultimately lead) incoming client opportunities and requests in delivering strategic consulting projects and end-to-end campaigns across a raft of clients and categories. Work across projects spanning Australia, APAC, and global markets. Collaborate directly with our Project Directors, to identify and capitalise on opportunities of the agency’s offering to market. Work in a hybrid or fully-remote capacity, with head office located in Sydney. We know we are looking for somewhat of a unicorn with a raft of different skills and talents, so whatever your greatest strength is, lean into that and let us know what you have to offer and why this role is suited to you. If you are motivated to learn, want to help drive our output in a start-up environment and work with a passionate group of people dedicated to creating change, we will ensure that you are set up to succeed. No2ndPlace is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will be considered regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability or age. We strongly encourage members of the LGBTQIA+ and First Nations communities to apply for this position.
