Job Description

Head of Special Education Services (H01) - Moorooka State School - Special Education Program Education (Organisation site)Metropolitan South Region, Early Childhood and State Schools Division We are looking for a skilled individual to take the lead as permanent Head of Special Education at Moorooka State School, to commence in Term 2, 2025.You will lead to achieve improved learning, engagement and wellbeing outcomes, deliver quality professional development for staff, connect with external providers, coordinate and provide intensive and targeted teaching for students requiring intervention and plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.You will implement and coordinate school-wide systems including data systems to monitor students with disability and record the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability. About the Role This role will include a teaching role and lead the Diverse Learning Team. This position is line managed by our principal and is a member of the Leadership Team. As the Head of Special Education Services your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Promote an inclusive culture and practices within the school community to ensure equity and excellence for students with disability. Develop and support a high quality of teaching and adjustments for students with disability in accordance to related legislation and policies.
