CSF Industries holds a unique position in the construction and fabrication industry in Northern Australia in terms of size, experience and expertise.About The Position This is a hands-on, boots-on-the-ground role where the HSEQ Advisor will be the direct point of contact for all health, safety, environmental & quality matters for the construction site(s). Ensuring that all HSEQ responsibilities are met and carried out by all personnel including site inspections and risk assessments.We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team based in Cairns FNQ. This role will support our Construction business on a project based in Gordonvale, Cairns. The position on offer is a contract term for the duration of the project lifespan with the possibility of extension for the right person.This role will be supporting, promoting and driving a positive and proactive safety culture through the company's over 150 employees and subcontractors alike. Previous onsite experience working with a tier 1 company on a multi-level build would be an advantage.Key Responsibilities but not limited to: Conduct inductions for subcontractors and new employees Conduct HSEQ audits across the business Maintain HSEQ ISO accreditation Prepare site-specific HSEQ management plans Investigate and report upon safety incidents Monitor and assess the implementation of preventative safety actions Develop and communicate HSEQ information for prestart & toolbox meetings Provide ongoing safety training to all employees Develop, review, and implement SWMS Provide advice and direction to Management on HSEQ matters Audit and update policies, procedures and SWMS to ensure that they align with current legislation, codes of practice and principle contractors requirements onsite. Provide specialist guidance and advice to prevent incidents and injuries and achieve WHS goals Drive continuous improvement of the company's HSEQ processes Provide coaching and support within the teams regarding HSEQ matters Conduct and assist with investigations into incidents or near misses Facilitate the risk assessment process Conduct HSEQ training and lead the WHS committee processes Research, formulate and compile policy and procedure documents including related forms to a quality standard About You: CSF Industries is looking for a passionate and proactive HSEQ professional with exceptional relationship-building abilities to join our team. This position forms an integral part of the operational site team for CSF Developments and it requires an individual who can drive HSEQ within the team. This role will suit an organised self-starter who is confident and capable in all things HSEQ. Enthusiastic and driven to foster a safe and healthy work environment Able to work confidently with individuals, teams, and management Able to negotiate, influence and implement change within the workplace Display excellent verbal and written communication skills Have well-developed computer skills within databases and Microsoft Suite The successful applicant will have the following: Experience working as a HSEQ Advisor or in a similar position (with a tier 1 company - desirable) Experience working in the construction industry Current ā€œCā€ Class Driver Licence A strong understanding of HSEQ legislation and ISO Standards Current First Aid & CPR qualification (desirable) Qualifications equivalent to a Diploma or higher in WHS (desirable) Return to Work experience (desirable) Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence confidently at all levels Outstanding organisational abilities and a strong sense of urgency Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think laterally Ability to stay calm and focused during situations involving injuries and or investigations We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
