The Team: The Persistent Pain Service (PPS) is an interdisciplinary team of Pain medicine specialists, Specialist Medical Practitioners, Psychiatrist, Nurses, Physiotherapists and Psychologists who are skilled, trained and experienced in persistent pain care. PPS uses a biopsychosocial interdisciplinary approach to provide care to people with complex and persistent pain. This addresses not only the physical aspects of pain, but also the impact of persistent pain on a person's mental, emotional, and social wellbeing. The Persistent Pain Service is a Level 1 training unit of the Faculty of Pain Medicine and is accredited for training future pain specialists in Australia. The Faculty of Pain Medicine (FPM) leads in meeting legislative obligations regarding pain training and medical standards of care, collaborating with stakeholders to establish comprehensive standards for pain management. The PPS works closely with other services to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community. The Role: The primary purpose of the Health Services Officer is to maintain clean hygienic surroundings to facilitate the control of infection, maintain basic ward/unit equipment, and ensure patient confidentiality. You will need: Clean, maintain and sterilise work areas and ward equipment within infection control guidelines. Provide a communication network between departments including delivery and collection service as required. Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and staff. Details of appointment: Health Services Officer, Level 3Permanent part-time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $59,930 to $61,367 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
