About the role SNT seeks a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our friendly NSW team immediately on a temporary contract until the end of May 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional seeking a short-term role in the safety and compliance of high-risk environments while supporting the implementation of a critical infrastructure project. The project involves replacing the cooling tower infill material at the Power Station in the Lithgow region of NSW. As a Health and Safety Advisor with SNT, you will provide on-the-ground health and safety support, including: Governance for activities being performed by our Contract Partners Health and Safety record management Incident Investigation and review Delivering induction and awareness packages Supporting Emergency Preparedness Auditing and inspections Additional Details The work schedule consists of 5.5 days on and 1.5 days off (Monday to Saturday), with opportunities for long weekends throughout the contract duration. The expected work hours are 10 hours per day unless there may be an infrequent requirement to work approved additional time for business reasons. The hourly rate is $100 - $130 per hour. About you We are looking for a safety professional with at least 3 years of experience in construction settings. To apply for this role, you must have: Minimum of Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card) Proven experience in activities associated with construction work, such as: Scaffolding Lifting Activities Mobile Plant Working at heights Confined Space Hazardous Manual Tasks Permitting Systems Location Local applicants (within one hour from Lithgow, NSW) will be considered a priority.
