Heavy Diesel Plant Mechanic | Local Government About the role We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Plant Mechanic to join our Local Government team in Rooty Hill, NSW. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet of heavy equipment, machinery and vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity to utilise your specialist skills in a dynamic and rewarding environment. What you'll be doing Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, and implement appropriate repair solutions Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and documentation Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely and effective completion of all work Identify and report on any equipment that may require replacement or upgrade Ensure a safe working environment by following all relevant policies and procedures What we're looking for Relevant trade qualifications in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or related discipline 5+ years' experience as a Heavy Diesel Plant Mechanic, ideally within a Local Government or similar setting Strong knowledge of the maintenance and repair of heavy plant and equipment Post trade qualifications and experience in this specialised trade including vehicle RMS Pink Slip Accreditation, fitting / turning and knowledge of pumps Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team Excellent communication and customer service skills Current HR driver's licence APPLY NOW! #J-18808-Ljbffr
