Job Description
DAC Enterprises is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and qualified full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic to join their Workshop Team based in Palmerston. The successful candidate is mainly responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered vehicles and plant and undertake diagnostic tests on vehicles and maintaining detailed records of the vehicles serviced.Key Duties And Responsibilities Install, maintain and repair mechanical components on a wide variety of vehicles and plants for petrol and diesel engines Schedule regular preventative machine maintenance, repairs and servicing, including diagnosis Overhaul and rebuild diesel engines Compile high-quality field service and job reports Provide technical assistance when required Proactively maintain a safe and healthy workshop environment and support an ongoing improvement culture Qualifications Trade qualification (Diesel Mechanic) or a diploma in automotive engineering Valid driver’s licence Aptitude for mathematics and science 3-5 years of extensive experience in the maintenance of heavy vehicles/machinery Computer literate Experience in understanding and interpreting fault code data, electric fault finding, and machine information Experience working with Heavy Earthmoving equipment is essential Customer-focused Good attention to detail Highly organised A remuneration package between $70,000 to $90,000 per annum plus superannuation will be negotiated depending on skills and experience.Job type: Full-time, Permanent #J-18808-Ljbffr
