This is a unique opportunity for someone who is looking to step foot onto a $bn project.Employed by Webuild, the role is a full-time position based at Orchard Hills.This is an excellent opportunity for a Health & Safety professional that can manage the logistics, safety, and regulatory compliance of heavy vehicle operations, ensuring all vehicle movements align with legal obligations while minimizing risks and enhancing operational efficiency.Responsibilities Ensure all heavy vehicle operations on Tier 1 construction projects comply with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and other regulatory frameworks. Conduct regular audits and inspections of heavy vehicle operations to verify compliance with HVNL requirements (mass, loading, access, fatigue, speed, and vehicle maintenance). Ensure all subcontractors and third-party providers adhere to CoR obligations and company policies. Identify, assess, and document risks associated with heavy vehicle movements within large-scale construction environments. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent CoR breaches and improve operational safety. Implement proactive measures to address identified risks and ensure adherence to safety and compliance protocols. Collaborate with site operations teams to plan, coordinate, and manage the scheduling and movement of heavy vehicles across multiple construction sites, ensuring legal, safe and efficient transport operations within HVNL and CoR obligations. Collaborate with internal and external transport providers, and logistics teams to optimize vehicle movements while maintaining CoR compliance. Use and maintain systems to track and monitor heavy vehicle movements, ensuring adherence to approved routes and schedules. Provide ongoing education on HVNL elements, including mass, loading, access, fatigue, speed, and maintenance to internal and external heavy vehicle transport providers. Ensure personnel across the supply chain understand their CoR obligations and responsibilities. Maintain detailed records of audits, training, vehicle movements. Ensure accurate data capture and timely reporting for internal reviews and external regulatory audits. Track and analyse compliance with HVNL requirements and implement improvements where necessary. Prepare and present comprehensive reports on CoR compliance, incident trends, and performance metrics to management. Build strong working relationships across the project site teams and the project engaged supply chain to promote a culture of safety and regulatory adherence. Engage with project leaders to align heavy vehicle operations to ensure compliance with HVNL and CoR obligations. Criteria Relevant qualifications in transport management, safety, or compliance (e.g., Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety) are highly desirable. Proven experience managing heavy vehicle logistics and compliance in a Tier 1 construction environment. In-depth knowledge of the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies. Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in compliance management systems, logistics software, and data analysis tools. Ability to manage complex logistics across multiple project sites while ensuring legal and operational compliance. What's Next?
