The Opportunity Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Help Desk Technician to join our team. This role will see you contributing to a variety of activities including: Proactively acting as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance. Assisting the IT consultant as required with the daily delivery of IT services and support including project delivery. Providing remote troubleshooting support through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions. Coordinating with internal departments and external service providers to diagnose and resolve issues in a timely manner. Assisting in the successful onboarding and induction of employees by ensuring the requested systems access and logins are in place and providing effective systems training. Creating and updating Helpdesk processes, documentation, and an IT knowledge base to comply with audit requirements and ensure accuracy and relevance. About you This is a collaborative, employee-focused role; the Helpdesk Support Technician will serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical support. As the successful candidate, you will have a strong understanding of IT systems support, excellent organisation and communication skills, demonstrate responsiveness, and be willing to learn and accept feedback. Skills and experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in Help Desk Support, with exposure to a variety of different IT support functions. Demonstrated ability working with office automation products, databases, and remote control. A solid understanding of IT security fundamentals and ensuring processes and policies are adhered to. Proficiency in technical skills from server maintenance (networking, firewalls, security) to programming. Self-managed with the ability to perform well under pressure, managing competing priorities to make timely decisions about the most efficient solution to issues. Analytical with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - including resolving issues for users working remotely out of the office. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
