RACT is seeking a Home Quality Assurance Lead on a 12-month contract basis. We are ideally looking for someone with a Building or Trade background. Potentially an ex-builder who is semi-retired, or someone who is ready to put the tools down and join our team here at RACT! This is an office-based role in our Hobart office, working business hours (no weekends!). About the role: The Home Quality Assurance Lead is accountable for timely and accurate review and approval of scope and quote costs associated with Home Insurance claims, escalated assessed claims, and conducting auditing in line with the Quality Assurance program. Reporting to the Manager Assessing & Repair Services, this role will proactively communicate clear and accurate advice, solutions, timeframes and claim progress to stakeholders, including Home Claims Managers, Builders and Suppliers. What We’re Looking For: A solid understanding of building codes, standards and practices, as well as contemporary building and repair methods. Technical proficiency with computers and applications (training is provided but basic knowledge is required). Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to gather and interpret information that informs exercising judgement, decision making and solutions. Highly developed interpersonal skills, including an ability to interact and influence a wide range of stakeholders. Well-developed time management and organisational skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work autonomously, but also as part of a broader team. Non-Essential but Highly Desired Requirements: Building and Trade experience or qualifications with exposure to estimations, quotes and scopes is highly desirable but not essential.
