Volunteer Role: Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) Member Location: Online Hours: 4 hours per month The Cairnmillar HREC is looking for a new external member who can bring a broad community or consumer perspective on research ethics. We are seeking someone who has no paid affiliation with the Cairnmillar Institute and is not a healthcare practitioner or professional researcher. About the Cairnmillar Institute: The Cairnmillar Institute is a not-for-profit registered health promotion charity that has been providing high-quality professional education and accessible psychological services to promote the community's psychological well-being for over 60 years. Cairnmillar is now one of the largest trainers of postgraduate psychologists and counsellors in Australia. We offer an excellent range of clinic services, postgraduate programs in psychology and counselling, and short courses and professional development for the broader community. The Role: This volunteer role will suit someone with an eye for detail, a passion for the ethical conduct of research, and a desire to benefit the wider community by contributing to the Cairnmillar Institute’s program of research. Responsibilities include: Attending the HREC meeting on the last Monday of each month (February to November) at 5-6pm via Zoom.
