We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to cover for a maternity leave period of 7 months with a possible extension or conversion to a permanent position. Key Responsibilities Processing weekly Payroll End to end employee life cycleRecruitment and Onboarding Creating contracts and HR documentation as required Updating and maintaining HR information on relevant systems Managing and updating the mandatory training register Assist with employee performance management matters including conducting investigations & disciplinary action Manage all compliance requirements including supporting Return to work requirements Ensure current procedures relating to Performance Appraisals, Probation Reviews, Quarterly Check-ins are adhered to Manage and develop HR strategies Update and create policies & procedures – providing best practice suggestions Provide sound HR advice on employment conditions and other processes undertaken by the business with respect to employee relations Coach business line managers in relation to people management What is required from you Must have at least 3 years previous experience in a similar role in a medium sized company (experience in construction industry would be advantageous) Tertiary qualification in HR or related field is advantageous Ability to interpret Awards and provide IR advice Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel & Word software package Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy Excellent verbal and written communication skills An excellent work ethic and mindset What we Offer A supportive and dynamic workplace Immediate start Possible conversion to permanent full time Excited to join us?
