Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (Flexible work hours) Gym membership Employee Assistance Program Birthday day leave Role Overview: We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join our growing team in our West Perth office. In this role, you will enhance client engagement by collaborating with the team and clients to deliver exceptional service. You will be responsible for ensuring quality client service, generating new business, leveraging commercial acumen, and developing high-performance teams. Skilled in consulting, you will analyse problems, design, and implement practical solutions, and manage projects for quality and profitability.You will also support team development, share knowledge continuously, and engage in personal career growth. Additionally, you will retain talented people through strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring. You will actively promote and develop the company's cultural values by leading by example and holding the team accountable to corporate expectations.Key Responsibilities Review or prepare work papers and spreadsheets in support of clients source documents. Input and review client data as required. Review or generate necessary journal entries and trail balance for checking. Review or prepare or financial statements and income tax returns for review. Review or prepare GST returns (BAS and IAS) as required. Provide general assistance with the processing of all bookkeeping and accounting tasks for your team as required. Provide client assistance with compliance issues related to matters arising from PAYG, GST, and Superannuation. Provide general training and support to the staff and managers on all matters arising from research and taxation matters. Review or prepare ATO compliance returns. Design client restructures. Prepare & present client advice. Research technical issues. Manage a client base effectively, including client access/ contact, job turnaround, costing, and debtor control. Be able to manage day-to-day client reactions and deal with difficult interpersonal situations. Skills and experience: Minimum 6+ years of Australian Public Practice experience. High level of integrity / honesty. Xero Practice Management (XPM), Xero Tax, Practice Ignition, MYOB, Quicken, QuickBooks, FYI, PDF Editor Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc. Identify and solve problems. Communicate effectively with all staff, clients, and management. Communicate a genuine interest in client activities and develop an understanding of their business and industry needs.
