Job Description
The Cultural Facilities Corporation (CFC) is undergoing an exciting transformation. With the redevelopment of the Canberra Theatre and increased activities in our Galleries, Museums, and Heritage areas, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced ICT Project Manager for a six-month contract. This role is crucial in leading the planning phase of our Human Resource Management System procurement, enhancing our human capital management capabilities. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the ICT Project Manager will deliver planning documentation for digital projects in line with ACT Government frameworks. This role requires ensuring deliverables are completed on time and meet stakeholder expectations. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders is essential for effective engagement, communication, and issue resolution. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional procurement, project, financial, and contract management expertise, ensuring risk assessment and mitigation throughout the project lifecycle. Developing and maintaining essential project artefacts, such as Project Plans and RAIDD logs, will be key. Additionally, the ICT Project Manager will provide high-quality reporting and advice to senior management and executive teams. We seek someone with strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and writing skills, who can achieve results while considering budgets, schedules, resource management, and governance. The successful candidate will have experience in leading digital and technology projects, managing them to time and budget. Knowledge of project management and risk management concepts, standards, methodologies, and tools is essential. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, take an innovative approach to service design and delivery, and have the ability to represent the agency in high-level negotiations and interactions. Eligibility/Other requirements: Tertiary level qualifications and/or certification in Project Management are highly desirable, including one or more of the following: Diploma of Project Management, PRINCE2 Foundation, PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, Agile Project Management (AgilePM) Foundation, or Certified ScrumMaster. Experience working in ACT Government would be welcome but not essential.
