About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic IT Analyst – Business Systems to join our team. This role involves working closely with IT, Trading, Risk, and Retail teams to maintain and support the IT Systems that are used by our trading and reporting systems. You will provide critical support and recommendations for application design, implementation, and management within our trading activities. The ideal person for this role is proactive and meticulous with a solid background in database administration. You will have some experience in creating documentation, developing and maintaining data access methodologies and have a passion for systems analysis, design, and evaluation of software. As part of the IT Team, you will partner with various business units to enhance the functionality and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. Flexibility is key, as the role involves both routine tasks and more dynamic, challenging projects. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following: Database Administration: SQL and Oracle databases. ETRM Administration: working with Openlink Endur. Basic Development Work: SQL, SSIS, Reporting Services & C# Support Trading Systems: Provide support and recommendations for all trading systems. System Interfaces: Assist in planning, designing, and developing interfaces between systems. Documentation and Standards: Prepare documentation, write specifications, and support data extraction standards. Knowledge Resource: Act as a primary contact for contextual information within IT systems. Business Processes: Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of business processes. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Assist in developing and maintaining procedures and practices. Technical Standards: Participate in creating or revising technical standards and departmental policies. Problem Reporting: Report on issues related to systems and their use. On-Call Participation: Participate in on-call support as needed. Requirements: 2+ years of experience in a similar role Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Data Analysis Experience with ETRM systems, and a strong understanding of trading and risk data will be highly beneficial. A strong understanding of database administration. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must have unlimited working rights in Australia. Why Join Us?
