The IT Project Manager for Mergers & Acquisitions is responsible for leading and managing IT integration projects related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. This role ensures that all IT aspects of M&A activities are executed efficiently, aligning with the strategic objectives of the organization. The IT Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless integration of systems, processes, and technologies, minimizing disruption and maximizing value. Key Accountabilities: Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans for IT integration activities, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Lead project teams to deliver on project objectives, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including IT, finance, legal, and business units, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management. Due Diligence and Assessment: Conduct IT due diligence to assess the technology landscape of target companies, identifying potential risks and integration challenges. Evaluate existing IT systems, infrastructure, and processes to determine compatibility and integration requirements. Integration Execution: Oversee the execution of IT integration plans, including system migrations, data transfers, and process harmonization. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies during integration activities. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with IT integration projects. Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions and ensure business continuity. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress, outcomes, and lessons learned. Technical Competencies: Strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and applications. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, MS Project). Experience with IT due diligence and integration in M&A contexts. Knowledge of data migration, system integration, and change management processes. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and data security standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on M&A activities. Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT integration projects. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
