IT Security Architect - Enterprise Migration Reserve Bank of Australia We are Australia's central bank. We conduct monetary policy, work to maintain a strong financial system and issue the nation's currency. We are looking for an IT Security Architect to join our Core Infrastructure Modernisation Program for a 24-month Fixed Term Contract. In this role, you will join the Enterprise Migration Workstream to support the technology teams prepare for core infrastructure changes. You will also: Evaluate and recommend security technologies to enhance the Bank’s infrastructure. Provide expert advice to projects on information security architecture, solutions, and controls. Develop and maintain security patterns and guidelines to promote reuse of security services. Your team You will work with a team of incredibly smart people who are very passionate about information security. The overall security team consists of 30 people with diverse skills in the security area. It is a challenging, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment with a great culture. Your background We are looking for an IT Security Architect who has proven experience in consulting on security solutions with the ability to identify and communicate current and emerging security threats. You will be working on a number of strategic projects, including enterprise-wide projects. To be successful in this critical role, you will possess: Experience in conducting security risk assessments and advising on risk mitigation strategies. Ability to document superior security architectures and security risk assessments. Knowledge of IT security principles associated with networks, operating systems, firewalls, databases, and identity and access management, with specialization in one or more of the above fields. Demonstrated expertise in 2 or more emerging technologies such as Cloud Security (Azure and Office365), Containers, DevOps, Application Security, and Operational Technology or Industrial Control Systems (ICS). Development of security patterns and guidelines to promote reuse of security services. You will have, or are working towards, a security certification such as CISSP or SABSA or similar.
