Permanent full time opportunity to provide advanced clinical expertise and care relevant to the Indigenous Mental Health Intervention Program. Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be Indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community. About the role As the Team Leader, this role supports the Indigenous Mental Health Intervention Program (IMHIP) in the delivery of social and emotional wellbeing and mental health support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients currently located in the Brisbane Women's Correctional Centre, Southern Queensland Women's Correctional Centre, and the Woodford Correctional Centre with possibility of expansion in the future. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with Metro North Health's values: Provide clinical leadership and participate in the identification, development, implementation, and evaluation of quality, service improvement and/or research activities that enhance the delivery of forensic intervention services, procedures, and protocols that support the continuum of care, improve patient care, and contribute to the development of the multidisciplinary team. Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards, and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within the scope of position. Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, experience, and clinical skills in the Indigenous Mental Health Intervention Program. Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills, and expert clinical judgement in relation to community forensic nursing.
