Add expected salary to your profile for insights Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border. This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW. Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area. The Role We are seeking a passionate and committed Industry Participation/Community Relations Manager to join our Engagement Team on a 12-month, full time contract. This is a full time position based in our Sydney or Wagga Wagga office dependent on your location. Primary responsibilities will include: Leading and reporting on the implementation of a Local Industry Participation Plan and Procurement strategy focused on local content. Preparing and delivering presentations, case studies, and media releases to highlight local industry opportunities. Work closely with procurement teams to offer advice on local participation and tenders, and participate in external meetings with government and economic bodies to drive local content outcomes. Collaborate with construction, commercial, and workforce teams ensuring subcontractor compliance with local participation commitments. Support local suppliers, advising them on business improvement funding opportunities and helping them participate in evaluations and contracts. Manage networks and relationships with local communities, businesses, and government bodies to optimize local job outcomes and content. Your skills and experience : Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role Experience in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders Ability to build and maintain working relationships with a wide variety of people including local businesses and community groups. Experience and understanding of working in a procurement or commercial function Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and follow tasks through to completion. Excellent verbal and written communication skills High level of computer literacy, Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, and working with online platforms and databases We’re building a diverse workforce.
