About the role As a Business Analyst - Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency, security, and scalability of our organisation's infrastructure. You will work closely with stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to gather requirements, analyse systems, and propose solutions that align with both business objectives and technical needs. Skills & experience: Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for cloud upgrades and data migration projects. Work on migrating data from on-premises systems to Azure and ensure smooth transitions with minimal disruption to business operations. Analyse current infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization and cloud adoption, focusing on cost savings, performance, and scalability. Assist in planning and executing Azure-based cloud infrastructure solutions that align with business objectives. Support the development and execution of data migration strategies, ensuring the integrity, security, and efficiency of data during the transition to the cloud. Help manage the lifecycle of cloud-related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Provide ongoing support to the cloud infrastructure post-migration to ensure stability and performance. Collaborate with cloud architects, network engineers, and other IT teams to design scalable and secure cloud-based solutions. Evaluate cloud performance metrics and provide recommendations for optimisation and future growth. Ensure that all cloud-based solutions are compliant with industry regulations and internal policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on infrastructure environments, cloud migrations, and data migration projects, specifically in Azure environments. Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including but not limited to Azure Storage, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory. Proven experience in migrating data from on-premises systems to cloud environments, with a strong understanding of best practices and challenges involved. Strong understanding of infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) cloud models. Familiarity with Azure Migration tools such as Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, and other relevant tools for data and system migration. Knowledge of cloud security, backup, and disaster recovery best practices. Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and process optimization skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with both technical teams and business leaders. Familiarity with ITIL or Agile methodologies is a plus.
