Infrastructure Engineer, Identity Management Various locations - ACT The key duties of the position include: The Information Division is responsible for supporting the department's core ICT infrastructure and services. The Division has a diverse range of responsibilities, including cloud services, network support, ICT project management, business system development, and information governance. Working in the Information Division provides an opportunity to encourage business value through the use of technology. The successful candidate in the Infrastructure Engineer - Identity Management role will have experience in, but not limited to: Maintaining Active Directory (AD) in a hybrid cloud environment Maintaining the department's Identity Management solutions Maintaining the department's Multi-Factor Authentication solutions Administering Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS) Administering Entra ID Service request, incident, and problem management Providing technical expertise, working across teams for the delivery of ICT services Project implementation and system design documentation Adhere to change management processes Adhere to Essential 8 and ISM guidance. How you can help make a difference The Attorney-General's Department is seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Infrastructure Engineer - Identity Management to assist in the delivery of a number of high-priority projects and business-as-usual work. The Infrastructure Engineer - Identity Management role aligns with the Skills for the Information Age (SFIA) framework. Under this framework, the role provides technical leadership to optimise the performance of cloud and IT infrastructure: Provides technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures. Contributes to the planning and implementation of infrastructure maintenance and updates. Implements agreed infrastructure changes and maintenance routines. Uses infrastructure management tools to determine load and performance statistics. Configures tools and/or creates scripts to automate the provisioning, testing, and deployment of new and changed infrastructure. Essential Skills Include: Active Directory Domain Services and Group Policy Server and process hardening in line with the ISM, Essential 8, and best practices Desirable Experience in: AWS Managed Directory AWS SSO Azure Entra ID Active Directory Federated Services (AD FS) Automating processes relating to services within your responsibility To be eligible for employment at the Attorney-General’s Department, applicants must be Australian citizens. Applicants offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a police record check and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a specified clearance level. The successful applicant must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information. Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period.
