Hours per fortnight 73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available. Duties Assess and advise on the liability of new workers compensation claims including the provision of instructions to factual and medical investigators. Manage workers compensation claims to finalisation, including managing claims of a complex nature. Work collaboratively with employees and managers to achieve the best outcome possible for all parties, along with serving as a regular point of contact for these parties. Promote efficient and effective injury management practices throughout the Department, through the provision of specialist advice to senior managers and employees. Negotiate and liaise with relevant internal stakeholders, including Return to Work Coordinators, Output Managers, Supervisors, and injured employees. Negotiate and liaise with relevant external stakeholders, including the State Litigation Office, the Tasmanian Risk Management Fund Administration Agent, Legal and Union Representatives, Rehabilitation Providers, Medical Practitioners, and other allied health treating parties. Respond to complex enquiries and prepare high-level correspondence, documentation, and reports. Represent the department at internal and external forums where appropriate, including the Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Tribunal. Minimum Requirements Current Driver’s Licence. Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management.
