Deliver tactical intelligence to ASIC's enforcement teams, ensuring compliance with national policies, privacy requirements, and sensitive information procedures, while conducting complex searches across intelligence sources and meeting SLA timeframes. Location – Sydney or Melbourne Salary between $78,720 - $90,235 depending on experience (plus up to 15.4% superannuation) Temporary, 12-month position Applications close at 11:59pm ADST, Tuesday 25 February 2025 The team The Information and Knowledge Resource Centre (IKRC) ensures ASIC meets its legislative and regulatory requirements, minimizing compliance risks, and provides strategic guidance to enhance technology, learning, and processes. The IKRC includes Intelligence Support, Knowledge Management, Library & Research Services, and Information & Records Management. Intelligence Support aids enforcement investigations and regulatory activities by gathering intelligence through authorized searches of external data systems. The role As an Intel Information Analyst , you will: Provide tactical intelligence to ASIC's enforcement teams, adhering to national policies, privacy requirements, and sensitive information procedures, with occasional out-of-hours availability. Conduct complex national searches across ASIC's intelligence sources, ensuring requests are actioned within SLA timeframes. Analyse and summarize retrieved data to prepare accurate and meaningful responses. Collaborate with external agencies to maintain information access and obtain confidential data per agreements and Memorandums of Understandings (MoUs). Advise ASIC stakeholders on intelligence management and the handling of confidential information. Maintain records of all searches for reporting and audit compliance. Work with internal stakeholders to establish requirements, manage service expectations, and foster positive relationships. Contribute to reviewing team materials and participate in national IRC projects to improve processes. About you You will also demonstrate: Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant work experience. Experience working with law enforcement, legal services, accounting, financial services environment, or a government agency. An interest in learning to search, analyse and interpret complex information on databases to provide solutions or advice to stakeholders. An interest in expanding knowledge relating to the interpretation and application of legislation, procedural manuals and guidelines to work. Experience in using a variety of software applications simultaneously including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), information management systems and databases to process, store, retrieve and report information.
