Division: Security and Custody Location: Silverwater, NSW, AU, 2128 Clerk Grade 5/6, Salary Range $97,027 - $107,059 pa plus superannuation and annual leave loading A challenging and rewarding career Flexible, autonomous work environment Your role The Corrections Intelligence Group (CIG) provides high level intelligence support to Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) stakeholders and various law enforcement agencies. Intelligence products disseminated by the CIG assist with decision making processes around the management of offenders in custody and under community corrections supervision. What you’ll do The Intelligence Analyst Officer undertakes analysis on information, intelligence holdings, data, and incidents with a view to identify security threats and safety risks for offenders both in custody and under community supervision. This role will also be required to act as the liaison officer with the Extended Supervision Team supporting the management of High-Risk Sex Offenders, located at Parramatta. This will involve providing support, digital investigation on digital platforms and using open-source intelligence system to undertake checks for home visits and other information as required. This is an in-office role that will require you to attend the office full time. Note : Applicants are advised that due to the nature of the work that the CIG undertakes, employees may be exposed to violent, graphic and sexually explicit material as part of their duties. What we’re looking for Applicants for this role are required to have an understanding of the role of intelligence in the correctional environment (or equivalent), be able to manage and develop team members, possess sound analytical, communication and report writing skills and have knowledge of and experience in the use of computerised systems. Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years’ experience working in intelligence or relevant industry experience. Understanding and knowledge of the intelligence cycle. Experience within law enforcement, intelligence or government security environments is highly desirable. To meet satisfactory probity and National Security Information Clearances, the successful applicant will be required to be an Australian Citizen and obtain National Security Clearance to the NV1 level. Current Drivers Licence with ability and willingness to drive throughout NSW.
