Job Description

Exercising the powers conferred on Investigators under Part IIIA of the Civil Aviation Act 1988 and take such action as is necessary to enable the Authority to fulfil its regulatory functions under section 9(1)(a) of the Act Under limited direction, investigating to finality, alleged breaches of aviation and related legislation and make appropriate recommendations Preparing and presenting detailed Briefs of Evidence, infringement notices and reports Liaising with officers of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions and other legal representatives of the Authority Representing the Authority in Court and Tribunal proceedings and give evidence as required Liaising with other Government bodies and law enforcement agencies as required Providing guidance and assistance to assistant investigators and engaging in other duties as directed by the Section Manager Works supportively and cooperatively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to achieve shared outcomes Engages with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees in a sensitive, respectful, and equitable manner Promoting workplace safety, equity and diversity and participative management and environmental management practices in the workplace and act in accordance with CASA Values and Behaviours #J-18808-Ljbffr
