Job Title: Investment Analyst – Private Debt (Real Estate / Structured Finance) Location: Sydney (CBD) Role Info: Our client is a leading private debt fund specializing in real estate, structured finance, distressed & high yield debt transactions. The team is comprised of industry experts with extensive experience in private debt, banking, and corporate finance. Job Description: Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join the growing business. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the origination, structuring, and execution of private debt transactions; there is a strong lean toward professionals who have had previous experience with private debt instruments across the following verticals: Real estate, securitization, distressed debt and structured finance. Key Responsibilities: Transaction Support: Assist in the analysis, structuring, and execution of private debt transactions, with a focus on real estate, securitization, structured finance, and high yield debt. Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, perform scenario analysis, and support decision-making processes. Due Diligence: Conduct detailed due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, credit assessment, and risk evaluation. Market Research: Perform market research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the private debt and structured finance sectors. Portfolio Management: Support the ongoing management of existing investments, including monitoring performance, preparing reports, and making recommendations for portfolio adjustments. Documentation: Assist in the preparation of investment memoranda, pitch books, and other transaction-related documentation. Collaboration: Work closely with senior team members, external advisors, and clients to facilitate successful deal execution and portfolio management. Qualifications: Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in private debt, banking, corporate finance, or investment banking; previous experience within real estate, debt advisory, securitization, structured finance, distressed debt, restructuring, or high yield debt is preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, ACA) would be an advantage. Skills: Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. Proficiency in financial analysis and valuation techniques. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
