We are looking for a Junior Accountant to work in our SA Studio to assist in various accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting senior accountants in period-end closing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to grow their accounting career and develop a strong foundation in financial management. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a passion for providing excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records Process accounts payable and receivable transactions Support in monthly closing procedures Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings Prepare and analyse financial data to identify discrepancies or variances Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed To be successful in this role, you should have the below skills set: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is desirable Minimum 3 years exposure to accounts payable and/or accounts receivable Proven knowledge of accounting principles and practices MYOB experience is desirable Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) At Hames Sharley, we place significant emphasis on fostering a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal well-being.
