Dynamic and supportive team environment Sustainability and energy efficiency sector Growth opportunities We are looking for a Junior Engineer to join our Professional Services team based in either our Melbourne or Maroochydore QLD office. The position will be part of the team and will be responsible for performing routine, entry-level engineering tasks under the direct supervision of a senior energy efficiency engineer, with the aim of developing advanced energy efficiency skills. They will also provide support as required to Professional Services team members. This role may require travel throughout other states (VIC/QLD/NSW/SA) as required. The occasional interstate travel may also be required for training, meetings and development. Responsibilities Provides general, entry-level support to the Professional Services team. Perform data analysis for energy savings at commercial and industrial sites. Conduct site visits to understand energy consumption and operations. Organises and ensures compliance documents according to Scheme requirements. Identifies and reports problems with specific processes or projects to senior engineers. Assists senior engineers in the development of technical reports outlining energy audit findings for clients. Stay informed about State and Federal Energy Efficiency schemes. Assist senior team members with M&V or Energy Audit-related tasks as needed. Responsible for Power Station applications and LGC generation as assigned. Provide technical input relating to solar PV system design, as needed. Other tasks as directed. What will make you successful? To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Basic knowledge of project management principles and methodologies Technical knowledge and understanding of energy efficiency engineering principles, concepts, and methodologies Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) Excellent verbal and written communication Organised and able to meet deadlines Ability to comprehend and follow directions. Desirable Skills And Experience Performance Measurement & Verification Analyst (PMVA) or Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) - Desirable SAA Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems (GCPV) accreditation - Desirable Solar PV system design or installation An internship or experience in a related field is highly desired.
