The King’s College is a Pre-kindergarten to Year 12 coeducational school with a current enrolment of 970 students, situated in Wellard in the southern corridor of the metropolitan area. The College is growing in size, and a new Primary School opened in Term 1, 2024. The College is a ministry of The King’s Chapel and has been offering quality education in the area since 1986. Kindergarten Teacher FTE 1.0 (Maternity Leave Cover) The King’s College Wellard Position commencement Term 2, 2025 – Term 4, 2025 (with the possibility of an ongoing role). Skills and experience The successful applicant must: Be a Christian, sharing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be Early Childhood Qualified. Select from a flexible and effective repertoire of teaching strategies to suit the physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics of students. Develop a culture of high expectations for all students by modelling and setting challenging learning goals. Demonstrate responsiveness in all communications with parents/carers about their children’s learning and wellbeing. Adhere to the ‘Staff Code of Conduct’, ‘Child Safe Policy’, and ‘Statement of Affirmation of Faith’. Promote the College in the community and surrounding districts. Recognised teaching Qualification and current TRB registration. Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to enable professional interaction with a range of people, including parents and support staff. A current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance. Become an active team member within the College, consistent with its vision and mission.
