The opportunity We are seeking a proactive and experienced Lead Distribution Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Southbank, VIC. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in power engineering and will undertake overhead and underground distribution design projects. Your technical background will allow you to drive engineering solutions whilst developing and gaining exposure to complex and cutting-edge technologies in a business with a pure focus on power and energy. About the role Develop designs, deliverables, and resource schedules for overhead and underground projects. Prepare and check feasibility studies, outline and detailed design technical reports, and other documentation. Design and review detailed construction design drawings. Produce design concepts, specifications, and other technical documents. Maintain regular communication with utility-based companies, government agencies, and private sectors. Lead and mentor graduate and junior engineers. Assist the leadership in managing resources effectively. Deliver comprehensive overhead lines engineering, including PnW modeling, conductor selection, construction drawings, and supporting documentation. About you: Engineer - Minimum BEng / BSc in Electrical Engineering with Power / utility background with CPENG or on the pathway of obtaining CPENG. Minimum 3-4 years experience in the industry. Proficiency in GIS, design, and drafting software. Experience in preparing designs, material lists, estimating connection costs, and securing customer approvals. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders.
