THE ROLE Lead Investigation Officer Reporting to the Manager, Complaints, Investigations and Compliance, the Lead Investigation Advisor leads the investigations team for investigations about Victorian disability workers in accordance with the Disability Service Safeguards Act 2018 (Vic) (the Act). The role strengthens and streamlines processes to consolidate the investigation procedures within the Commission. This position provides recommendations to the Victorian Disability Worker Commissioner (the Commissioner) and the Disability Worker Registration Board of Victoria (the Board) to support the execution of their legislated functions and powers. Are you An experienced investigation advisor with professional knowledge of investigation procedures and demonstrated experience ensuring compliance with a range of legislative requirements and guidelines? Able to build, maintain and influence effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver robust investigations and drive compliance? Adept at writing reports and briefings on highly complex issues to a range of audiences? Skilled at identifying opportunities for improvement, bringing others along, and ensuring sustainable implementation of processes and procedures? Accountabilities Include Lead and enhance the team's investigation processes to prioritise investigations and ensure timely completion of matters, establishing and setting the direction of the investigation work. Prepare and review high-quality complex written materials including briefs, statements, investigation reports, and other documents making findings and recommendations for action. Make legally sound recommendations to the team manager, General Counsel, Commissioner, and Board, as required, to support the execution of the legislated functions and powers within the Act.
