As the Lead Pharmacist, you will take a pioneering role in the development and implementation of the South Australian Voluntary Assisted Dying Pharmacy Service (SAVAD-PS). In this high-impact position, you will drive safety and quality in pharmacy services by leading the development of policies, procedures, and operational practices to ensure the successful delivery of the voluntary assisted dying pathway. Your expertise and leadership will shape the educational strategy, training, and competency assessments for staff, while fostering innovation through quality improvement and research initiatives. About You We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional with extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice and a commitment to excellence in patient care. You will bring strong leadership abilities, advanced technical knowledge, and a proven capacity to implement quality use of medicines initiatives. Key requirements include: Skills and Attributes : Exceptional communication and organisational skills, the ability to manage complex priorities, problem-solving expertise, and adaptability in a dynamic environment. You will also demonstrate strong leadership and change management abilities. Experience and Expertise : Extensive experience in hospital pharmacy practice, multidisciplinary team leadership, and the development of policies, procedures, and quality use of medicines strategies. A background in teaching, training, and research is highly regarded. Technical Knowledge : Comprehensive knowledge of clinical pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacy practice standards, and relevant legislation, including the Voluntary Assisted Dying Act and other healthcare regulations. Teamwork and Collaboration : Proven ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams, providing leadership and fostering a culture of cooperation and continuous improvement.
