Are you a process safety expert passionate about driving real change? Join INPEX as our Lead - Process Safety and play a key role in strengthening process safety management within our organisation. As a key leader of a small team, you’ll help drive the development and continuous improvement of our process safety management systems. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders to improve critical areas such as process safety competency, training, incident investigation, risk assessment/management, assurance processes, and development of appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor improvement. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will: Develop and implement improvement plans for process safety management systems, aligning with short-, medium-, and long-term business goals. Track performance and refine strategies, using meaningful metrics to measure progress and adjust plans to achieve desired outcomes. Lead a small team of engineering professionals, including Technical Safety and Asset Integrity Engineers. Collaborate across functions, ensuring teams receive the right support at the right time. Advocate for strong process safety practices, influencing leadership and key stakeholders to embed safety as a core company priority. Oversee project execution, managing budgets, resources, timelines, and reporting on progress. What we’re looking for: The ideal candidate will bring: Qualifications: Tertiary degree and/or professional registration in an engineering discipline. Industry Experience: Proven background in asset integrity and process safety programs preferred. Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and engage diverse stakeholders. Communication & Facilitation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions effectively. Leadership (Desirable): Experience supervising a small team of technical professionals is a plus.
