Being part of a growing team, we want you to help shape and define our engineering culture and methodology. We are a technology agnostic business which opens endless possibilities for you to work across multiple tech stacks and multiple platforms with the opportunity to upskill and cross skill.Your day to day Work with multi-discipline teams to design, develop and maintain native mobile apps for clients. Provide technical feedback to other developers through PR reviews and work closely with designers to help inform UX/UI. Work in embedded, agile environments with opportunities to contribute to wider product discussions. Create and maintain apps, CI/CD pipelines, test frameworks and software architectures. Help break down work and contribute to estimates. Share your knowledge with the team and wider community through internal forums and our involvement in tech communities. Mentor other engineers in your project team and across the broader Mantel Group team. Build relationships with clients, product managers, cross-functional partners and external partners. Participate in technical design reviews, seeking and providing constructive criticism. Conduct and author technical evaluations, audits and reports advising clients and business stakeholders. Keep your skills up to date and always be looking for continuous improvement. Contribute to defining strategic direction, planning the roadmap, escalating issues and synthesising feedback to ensure team success. What you’ll need to be successful: Strong technical understanding of Swift and the iOS platform The ability to work effectively in groups and help facilitate where necessary Experience leading teams The ability to identify and rectify the source of problems A keen eye for detail A focus on quality and doing things right, with a dash of pragmatism. A good understanding of industry trends and best practice A passion for sharing your knowledge with others, a willingness to tackle the tricky problems and get hands-on by pair programming with colleagues Ability to succeed in a wide range of complex situations across multiple axes: e.g. scale, uncertainty, interconnectedness, culture, process, bureaucracy What you can expect from us We know you won’t have one job for life.
