The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.The Organisational Development Team’s primary focus is to assist IUIH meet its strategic objective of an expanded and strengthened workforce through development, management and implementation of frameworks and programs to: increase Indigenous workforce participation and develop a workforce who provide leadership in health system reform and provision of a high quality, integrated system of health and social support services. The team build workforce pathways, create and nurture an innovative, inclusive, reflective and respectful environment built on Aboriginal Ways.About the Role? The purpose of this role is to co-ordinate, develop and implement IUIH’s leadership programs and develop and promote opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff in the health and community sectors, aligned with Propa Ways.Day to Day Duties Include: Mapping of existing IUIH leadership Programs (e.g. Executive Development, Clinical Leadership program, Manager Bytes, Manager foundations) and identifying gaps and commonalities. Working with the IUIH Comms team to develop or update information promoting each program including target participants. Coordinating program design and delivery including guest speakers. Identifying and recruiting mentors for each program. Work with the Organisational Development Team leads to support digital learning options including e-learning and micro-credentials. Identifying appropriate projects and other ‘assessment’ tasks for ED and CLP and Manager foundations. About You? Interpersonal communication skills that demonstrate your ability to problem solve and negotiate positive outcomes. Vibrant and creative out of the box mindset with problem solving capabilities. Relevant degree or diploma in Leadership, Management, Teaching, Organizational Psychology or related field or demonstrated experience. Demonstrated Experience in developing and facilitating leadership programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD). Current Criminal History Check. Desirable, but not mandatory: Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities. What Can we Offer?
