As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our legal team and seeking a Legal Counsel to support our corporate and real estate functions. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented lawyer to be part of a high-performing team in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment. Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice on general corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters to support the company’s operations in Australia. Assist in structuring, negotiating, and drafting various corporate agreements, including service agreements, procurement contracts, and other commercial arrangements. Advise on leasing, acquisitions, disposals, and development projects, ensuring compliance with Australian real estate and corporate laws. Draft, negotiate, and review real estate-related agreements, including leases, sale and purchase agreements, and facility management contracts. Act as a business partner to internal stakeholders, providing pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice. Support governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and local legal requirements. Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to corporate real estate and commercial operations in Australia. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws and mitigate legal risks. Assist in managing disputes, including real estate-related litigation, contractual disagreements, and regulatory matters. Collaborate with and oversee external counsel where necessary. Key Requirements Admitted to practice in Australia. 3-5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE). Strong corporate real estate and/or corporate practice experience gained in a reputable law firm is highly regarded. Prior in-house experience would be a significant advantage but is not required. Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills. Strong analytical ability with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
