About the opportunity: This is an exciting permanent part-time opportunity (3 days a week 0.6 FTE) to join our Bolton Clarke Research Institute as a Library Services Manager, contributing to a hub that conducts and translates research into services and solutions to enable greater independence, quality of life, and choice about healthcare options for our customers and the wider community. Located at the Melbourne Corporate Support Office, the Library Services Manager ensures that staff have access to a quality digital library service via the corporate intranet. Key responsibilities include: Deliver responsive information services to staff and other stakeholders, including conducting expert literature searches. Oversee Library subscription renewals, manage vendor negotiations, and handle contracts/agreements. Develop and maintain the e-library site. Provide an efficient document delivery service in compliance with Copyright legislation. Ensure 24/7 staff access to electronic content. Manage Library expenditure. Offer tailored presentations and training to support staff in using library resources and conducting research. Oversee and maintain digital artefacts of the corporate history collection. Provide an alerts service to the Research Institute and other departments as requested. Engage with staff to identify their needs and promote the library service across the organization. Select and acquire new electronic library materials, in consultation with the Head of Research, and manage the cataloguing and de-selection of the print collection. Manage and maintain the Library Management System (DBTextworks). We would love to hear from you if you have: Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong planning, organizational skills, and initiative to work effectively without direct supervision. Collaborative team orientation with the ability to work across a multidisciplinary environment. Library management experience, preferably in a clinical or healthcare setting. Expertise in conducting systematic and critical reviews of research literature, and strong knowledge of health literature resources and systems. Proficiency in health research methods and associated software (e.g., EndNote, Covidence). Experience in developing and delivering library training programs and presentations, both virtual and face-to-face.
