WM Waste Management is an Australian family-owned business that has been servicing our community for nearly 40 years. We are committed to providing efficient and safe rubbish collection services to Melbourne’s Southeast and across other parts of Victoria and southern New South Wales. Our services include skip bin hire, servicing residential customers, businesses and major state projects, and hard waste collections (including heavy waste) where we work with local councils all over Victoria to provide both Area Wide and At Call hard waste services. We also do bulk mattress collections for businesses and councils across Victoria and parts of New South Wales. About the Role We’re seeking an experienced wheel loader and excavator operator at our heavy waste sorting facility located in Wantirna South. We require candidates who have a flexible approach to working hours, are a team player and are self-motivated and able to carry out work unsupervised in the elements rain, hail or shine. Some Saturday work will also be required. Details of the Position Operating wheel loaders and excavators Operating soil screeners, crushers and sorters after training Assist in sorting recyclables Adhering to all safety policies and procedures on site Able to follow instructions given and carry out the work to a high standard Other duties as required Requirements Australian recognised licences including: Wheel loader operator (required) Excavator operator (required) Forklift licence (preferred) Truck licence (HR preferred) Additional Requirements: Strong focus on OH&S Punctual and reliable Dynamic working environment Family-owned business with a supportive team environment Company supplied uniforms If you have experience in a similar role, a strong work ethic and a desire to work for a company that values its staff and offers good working conditions, this could be the role for you.
