About the Opportunity Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for logistics and operational excellence? We’re looking for a Logistics Planning Manager to drive seamless coordination, cost efficiency, and top-tier service within our Distribution Centre. As the Logistics Planning Manager , you’ll play a pivotal role in aligning inventory operations, workforce planning, transport, and automation to ensure optimal cost and service outcomes. You will lead end-to-end logistics planning, ensuring seamless execution from order processing to final delivery. In this Role Develop and maintain operational plans integrating labour, transport, inventory, and warehouse capacity to optimize cost and efficiency. Oversee resource planning, talent acquisition, training, and workforce forecasting to ensure smooth operations. Ensure stock accuracy, optimize warehouse layout, and align transport schedules for on-time delivery. Identify and implement automation, process enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives. Monitor KPIs, analyze operational data, and provide insights to senior leadership for strategic decision-making. Ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment, mitigate service risks, and champion a culture of service excellence. Foster a strong safety culture, adhere to regulatory requirements, and drive employee engagement in safety practices. You’re Likely a Match If Experience in logistics planning, workforce management, and supply chain operations. Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory control, and transport coordination. Ability to influence, engage, and collaborate across teams and leadership levels. A drive to innovate, optimize processes, and enhance overall efficiency. Ability to analyze data, anticipate risks, and implement effective solutions. Understanding of OHS, HACCP, chain of responsibility, and relevant logistics legislation. Life at Metcash Experience a supportive and flexible work environment.
