Job Description

Job Title: Integrated Logistics Support Management - L3 Location: Russell, ACT Primary Purpose: HCF Combat Systems is seeking an experienced and highly organized Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Management Specialist at Level 3 to join our team. The role will involve the development and management of various logistics assessments and plans for key defence systems, including the Hobart Modernisation and Aegis Combat System . You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth transition and delivery of essential logistics support materials, systems, and processes, with a strong focus on planning, documentation, and technical investigations. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Logistics Support and Coordination: Develop and manage the LOGSAT Transition Plan (Logistics Assessment), ensuring smooth transitions and assessments for logistics systems. Lead and attend discussions at ILS Working Groups (WG) to drive collaboration and decision-making. Support discussions and provide input to Joint ILS Technical Working Groups (TWG). Review LITR (Logistics Information Technical Report) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Remediate NAVALLOW APL (Navy Allowance Assembly Parts List) in line with system needs. Review and manage the COSAL database (Coordinated Shore Material Allowance List), ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements. Review and contribute to the Disposal Plan for project items, ensuring safe and compliant disposal of materials. Develop a Harvesting Plan for materials and components for future use. Provide workflow for the development of Mark for Code in support of the Hobart Modernisation project. Assist with technical investigations and provide support for the resolution of issues as they arise. ILS Documentation & Implementation: Collaborate with the ILS Manager to establish and prepare presentation packs for various forums, ensuring all information is up-to-date and comprehensive. Identify, manage, and ensure the delivery of all necessary ILS documentation and support its effective implementation within the team and broader program. Weapons Systems & Equipment: Support the TWS (Tactical Weapon System) delivery, ensuring that ILS considerations are integrated throughout the process. Assist with planning, implementing, and managing the disposal activities for Aegis Combat System equipment to ensure compliance with defence disposal regulations. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Successful development and management of logistics transition and assessment plans. Timely and accurate review of ILS documentation, including plans and reports. Effective support for the Aegis Combat System and Hobart Modernisation projects, including disposal activities and technical investigations. Qualifications & Skills: Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Engineering , or Defence Systems Management . Experience: Extensive experience in Integrated Logistics Support within the defence or military sector. Proven experience in working with logistics tools and databases, including COSAL and NAVALLOW APL . Previous involvement with weapon systems and combat system equipment , especially related to Aegis or Hobart Modernisation projects. Strong technical background with a focus on logistics assessment and planning. Experience working in autonomous, self-motivated roles, managing complex tasks with minimal supervision. Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities. Knowledge of military logistics, material allowances, and disposal planning. Familiarity with ILS-related tools and databases, such as CMT-U , Windchill , DOORS , or similar systems.
