Your future role An opportunity has become available to join Alstom within our Victorian Regional Rollingstock Maintenance Contract . As our Maintenance Operations Manager , you will play a critical role in leading the operational teams across several different sites to optimize the fleet performance, while ensuring that safety remains top priority. Reporting to the Project Director, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team and be responsible for driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement. This role will primarily be based at our depot in West Melbourne , however you will be required to travel to South Dynon, Ballarat and Geelong, as required. We’ll look to you for: Leading, coaching and managing large multi-disciplined (trade and management) teams across multiple sites. The management of all depot production and maintenance activities across a 24/7 operation, accountable for P/L. Working with the Fleet Support Centre and 24/7 help desk. Working closely with the Planning team to effectively adjust short-term planning, while supporting the long-term maintenance planning activity. Driving change and the continuous improvement of maintenance operations. Championing a ‘safety first’ culture across the operation. All about you We value passion and attitude over experience. Demonstrated experience in implementing and leading continuous improvement initiatives. A commercially focused approach to operational management. The demonstrated ability to lead, coach and manage large multi-discipline teams in a fast-paced operation environment. Significant experience in a similar role, managing maintenance operations in Rollingstock Maintenance or a similar Heavy Industry.
