About the Role The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating maintenance schedules and plans to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment. This is a 15-month Secondment role working a 9-day fortnight, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. Duties and Responsibilities: Developing detailed job plans, estimating labour resources, materials & costings Development of shutdown work packs, work instructions and schedules Leading the post shutdown/event review meeting Effectively managing the work order backlog with stakeholders Planning activities including prioritising work requests and creating work orders, purchase requisitions, receipting goods inward, setting up and adjusting bills of material Liaising with contractors to obtain quotes and organise labour, crane hire, and equipment for outsourced work Assisting with organising spares and planning for planned maintenance days and major outages Participating in maintenance improvement activities and projects Issuing work packages to production and maintenance for scheduling Collecting post-execution feedback for review and improvement Monitoring and reporting overdue maintenance and inspection work Participating in maintenance strategy improvement activities Participating in initiatives to improve standard maintenance tasks and procedures About You: Previous maintenance planning experience in a similar fixed plant environment A formally recognised Mechanical trade qualification – preferred but not essential Initiative and an ability to work autonomously Ability to manage, coordinate, set objectives, timetables and priorities An intermediate level of working knowledge of SAP Ability to prioritise and work under pressure in a changing environment Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to liaise effectively with all levels How to Apply: If you are interested in applying for this opportunity, please first speak with your line manager and then submit your application.
