The Role: The Major Giving Coordinator is a key role within the Individual Giving team responsible for driving the growth of major giving income in 2025 and beyond. In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for stewarding and soliciting existing high value donors, acquiring new major donor prospects, and contributing to the development and maintenance a robust Major Giving pipeline. You will work closely with the Major Gifts Manager and Individual Giving Senior Manager to manage the high value donor segments of Youth Off The Streets’ fundraising appeals, plan and execute impactful major donor events, including the establishment and management of a high value giving circle. You’ll provide a donor-centric experience that inspires repeat high value giving and increases overall contributions, aligning with broader fundraising and organisational goals. Key Responsibilities: Work with the Senior Individual Giving Manager and Major Gifts Manager to meet annual fundraising targets by implementing effective major donor strategies. Develop and execute an acquisition strategy to attract new prospects and secure new major gifts from individuals and private trusts and foundations. Conduct comprehensive research on known and potential high net worth supporters using the YOTS database and other sources. Leverage this research to identify and convert potential donors from the existing donor base, upgrading them from mid-level giving to major giving. Work closely with Youth Off The Streets services to gather information for reports and conversations with donors to demonstrate the impact of their giving. Manage major donor events, briefings and site visits. Secure matched funding from existing and new major donors to support seasonal appeals and Youth Off The Streets’ annual giving day. Actively manage gift solicitation conversations and meetings with mid and high value donors with a view to increasing their giving frequency and gift amounts. Provide regular detailed reports on program performance. Work closely with the broader fundraising and marketing team to develop marketing materials for prospective major donors and identify opportunities for relationship development, ensuring a streamlined donor experience. Selection Criteria, includes but is not limited to: Major Giving Experience: Proven experience in a similar fundraising role, achieving income targets. Relationship Building: Demonstrated expertise in successfully initiating and stewarding relationships with prospects and donors. Event Management: Proven success in planning and executing events. Fundraising Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Australian philanthropic giving environment and best practice fundraising principles. Database Proficiency: Excellent knowledge and experience working with databases/CRMs. Blackbaud CRM: Experience in using Blackbaud CRM. Digital: knowledge and experience with digital fundraising platforms. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field. Skills and knowledge: People-Centric Approach: The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills across all levels and excel in building strong relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
