Manager, Aboriginal Partnerships and Practice West Join to apply for the Manager, Aboriginal Partnerships and Practice West role at Victorian Department of Families, Fairness & Housing THE ROLE Reporting to the Director, West Aboriginal Partnerships and Practice, the manager provides authoritative and strategic advice and guidance to senior leaders and relevant stakeholders regarding implementation of key Aboriginal frameworks and strategies within the region and in particular Korin Korin Balit-Djak . The manager will lead a team of professional staff to deliver identified outcomes across the region according to agreed work plans and in collaboration with stakeholders and staff. They will bring exemplary project management skills, experience in contemporary workplace management and the application of continuous improvement to this position. The role actively works in collaboration with the regional director and other internal stakeholders to influence the development of policy and programs that take into account local needs of the local community. The role provides critical cultural links with Aboriginal communities and the organisation to support the division to: Ensure that Aboriginal community voice is embedded in policy and program development Manage stakeholder and community relationships to build partnerships that enhance wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal Victorians Promote inclusion and access to culturally responsive service provision for all Aboriginal Victorians Prioritise Aboriginal cultural advice and seek guidance for division. Accountabilities Include: Forge strong relationship and partnership connections across identified government and non-government stakeholders to maintain a comprehensive understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal individuals and/or communities in the East Division. Lead identified strategic projects that enhance Aboriginal voice, knowledge and cultural leadership into the development of DFFH policies, professional standards and operating practices focused on improved individual and/or whole-of-community localised outcomes. Provide timely expert advice to senior and executive DFFH leadership to set and achieve key priorities and standards, including managing emerging issues and high areas of risk for government, department and Aboriginal communities in the East Division.
