About the role Step into your next role where your leadership will guide a dedicated team of professionals in the delivery of high-quality building regulation services in one of the world’s most vibrant global cities. In this role you will manage the Building Certification team which is responsible for providing certification services such as issuing construction and complying development certificates and undertaking the functions required of an appointed Principal Certifier. The team also regulates temporary structures on the public way (e.g. construction hoardings and other associated structures) under the Local Government and Roads Acts. You will be required to manage and program the operational objectives of the team with regard to practices, procedures, allocation of work, monitoring of output from the team and individual members in terms of established performance targets. We’re looking for someone with: Relevant tertiary qualifications in building surveying who holds a class of registration of Building Surveyor – unrestricted under the Building & Development Certifiers Act and Regulation Demonstrated experience working in building certification and the assessment and approval of applications under the Local Government Act & Roads Act Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team of professionals in a complex environment.
