About the role $100,000 yearly salary plus 11.5% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading 12-month fixed term contract. Full time 38 hour working week. Located at Wharf Street, Ipswich. The Family Participation Program (FPP) supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families to participate in significant child protection decisions that affect their lives. A key function of Family Participation Program Practitioner is the facilitation of independent Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander family led decision making (ATSIFLDM), a process whereby authority is given to parents, families and children to identify and develop protective factors, address child protection concerns and participate fully in all significant decisions, in a culturally safe and appropriate space. The Family Participation Program Manager is responsible for coordinating service delivery and a small team of practitioners to ensure an accountable, operative, and ethnically strong service. About the successful applicant To be successful in this role, you will: Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Manage a small team of practitioners to promote a positive work environment. Lead program service delivery, financial management, and proactive human resource management. Create quarterly reporting to ensure compliance with service agreement requirements. Able to multitask or shift focus and reprioritise tasks as needed. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of business technology and desktop applications, including Microsoft Office packages, and ICMS (or similar case management system). Possess well-developed communication and people skills and the ability to interact positively with a wide variety of stakeholders with a professional manner. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to act with discretion and sensitivity, exercise initiative and maintain confidentiality. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Relevant degree or diploma with experience in case management and community child protection. A current Blue Card.
