Join our team as Manager, Global Mobility , where you’ll play a critical role in shaping and implementing the University’s immigration and relocation frameworks. As the key liaison with the Department of Home Affairs and external providers, you’ll provide expert guidance on visa and relocation matters, ensuring seamless, compliant, and efficient mobility solutions for staff moving across borders. Leading a small team, you’ll oversee both policy development and hands-on service delivery—from employer-sponsored visa nominations to relocation logistics, all while driving innovation in mobility support. Key responsibilities will include: Develop and implement the University’s immigration and global mobility policies, ensuring compliance with Australian legislation and best practices while mitigating risks. Provide expert guidance on employer-sponsored visa nominations, permanent residency applications, and other visa types, serving as the primary liaison with the Department of Home Affairs and external providers. Oversee end-to-end relocation processes for inbound and outbound staff, coordinating with external vendors to deliver seamless and efficient mobility support. Lead a small team, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and provide expert advice to ensure a consistent and high-quality mobility experience across the University. Proven ability to develop and implement policies and frameworks that ensure compliance and support seamless relocation and visa processes. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide expert advice and influence at all levels. Experience leading a small team, managing workloads effectively, and fostering a high-performance culture. Ability to navigate complex policy environments, problem-solve, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced setting. Proficiency in enterprise technology and software solutions related to migration and mobility services, such as Migration Manager. The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
