Job Title Manager, Individual & Flow, Savings and RetirementsJob Description The Role Working with the AVP Individual Retirement Income, this role will be expected to support our strategic new entry into the Individual Retirement Income market. This role will ideally be based in Sydney* to focus on the strategic entry to the global retirement income market. The role will focus on supporting the proposition development, sales, client relationships, structuring and execution of transactions in the global individual retirement income market and other related projects that arise over time. Other projects will involve supporting the development of wider global funded flow propositions. Within Savings and Retirement we have a vision to be Partnering with our clients globally to provide stability and confidence in retirement . Duties Develop, manage and secure new business opportunities, including working closely with the Global S&R Insurance and Deal Pricing Teams to deliver timely, high-quality responses to client invitations to tender, meeting internal risk management standards. Support deal structuring efforts and transaction negotiations, working alongside investment, pricing teams and our internal and external legal counsel. Support the operationalisation of new business flow opportunities and the ongoing management of flow deals once in place. Assist in the development of strategy for the global individual retirement income market entry and wider funded flow reinsurance proposition, combining understanding of client needs with Pacific Life group asset skills within the parameters of relevant regulations. Support the development of innovative new retirement income propositions for the global core markets, including reinsurance pricing tools and potentially education and guidance tools, leveraging where possible global S&R and/or Pacific Life capabilities and technology. Build and own relationships with our clients, superannuation funds, consultants, advisers and other key parties within the Australian individual retirement market as part of building an entry and growth within this market. Qualifications & Expertise Essential FIA, FIAA or equivalent. Prior work experience in (re)insurance pricing or other technical teams. Very strong understanding of actuarial principles and processes. Very strong technical, analytical and communication skills with a proven ability to understand and question pricing and/or capital bases. Good organisational and time management skills. In-depth understanding of risk frameworks and controls. High focus on innovation and solution mindset. Enthusiastic, with a keen drive and focus. Desirable Experience in and understanding of retirement markets including Longevity, Funded Re and individual annuities. Experience of new business development and transaction negotiation. Knowledge of the local regulatory environment. Strong negotiator and influencer. * Alternate locations considered upon application.
