Hornsby Shire Council is seeking a dynamic Manager Infrastructure Planning to drive strategic infrastructure initiatives and lead a talented team of 30 professionals delivering high-impact projects that will leave a lasting legacy on our Shire. Your Mission Transform our community's landscape by spearheading strategic infrastructure planning, encompassing project planning, asset planning, feasibility and investigation, survey and design, and traffic and active transport initiatives. Your role is crucial in developing and shaping our Council's works and capital expenditure programs, ensuring they align with our objectives, policies, planning instruments, and state and federal codes. Your Impact Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement frameworks that will guide our capital works programs and project initiatives. Team Management: Inspire and mentor the Infrastructure Planning team, fostering innovation and excellence. Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise across multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure integrated, community-focused outcomes. Project Oversight: Drive the planning and execution of transformational infrastructure projects that will define our Shire’s future. Budget Management: Oversee budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely expenditure management. Your Talent You’ll be an energetic leader with extensive experience in infrastructure planning and project management, have strong technical expertise in engineering, and the ability to approve plans and conduct feasibility studies. You will be an exceptional communicator who can engage with diverse stakeholders, present to executive leadership and Council, and foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
